SATURDAY, AUGUST 8
“Corinth History Day” at the Corinth Academy in Cookeville. RECAP:
The day consisted of a superb turnout of town residents who visited each of the demonstration areas. These were engaging and interesting demos on butter churning, basket weaving, blacksmithing, traditional timber framing and spoon carving, reading the landscape to determine historical land use, Corinth history through metal detecting, and the Taplin family and their role in settling Corinth. Much good cheer and engagement was had by everyone! The winners of the Trivia and Photo Contests were read and prizes were handed to the lucky winners.
