CORINTH UNCLAIMED ‘PROPERTIES’ – GET YOUR MONEY!

The Unclaimed Property Division of the Vermont State Treasurer Office reunites Vermont residents with lost and/or abandoned assets. TOWN HALL WI-FI

The wi-fi network is available for public use during hours when the town office is closed (see hours here). The network is: Corinth_PUB (no password is needed)

FIRE WARDEN – BURN PERMITS

You must get a burn permit if you are planning to burn. Contact Joe Truss, Corinth Fire Warden, for a permit: 439-6178. Please try to plan ahead and call a few days before the burn to insure you can contact Joe for the permit before you have the fire. If Joe isn’t available call Fire Chief, Ed Pospisil at 439-6074. Note: During winter when there is snow on the ground a burn permit is not required.

APRIL 1 — DOG LICENSES. All dogs and wolf-hybrids three months of age or older must be registered on or before April 1. After April 1 the cost for a license increases by $2 – $4.

APRIL 15 — CORINTH COFFEEHOUSE – LIVE MUSIC. Join us for live music & refreshments. Tonight’s performance is by Laura Jean and The Tiny Hat Trio. 7PM, Corinth Town Hall in downtown Cookeville. Suggested donation: $5-$10 per person; all proceeds to benefit one of our outstanding local organizations. For info: Dave Richard, 439-5980.

MAY 6 — GREEN-UP DAY. 47 years of tradition! Get ready to ‘Green Up’ the Corinth roadsides.  You can get green bags at the Transfer Station on Saturday, April 29 and use the big road map to claim the bit of road you plan to clean up. Bags and ‘grabbers’ are also available at the Town Hall. Contact Becky Buchanan at rebecca@sover.net with any questions. More info on Green Up Day: www.greenupvermont.org.

In 2016, over 57 Corinth families gathered nearly 2 tons of roadside trash and 161 tires! Thanks to the Corinth Conservation Commission for subsidizing the cost of 2016 trash and tire removal and for providing ‘grabbers.’

MAY 8 — PUBLIC HEARING. The Selectboard will hold a public hearing on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 8:00 pm at the Corinth Town Hall. 1387 Cookeville Rd Corinth, VT 05039. Purpose of the meeting is to hear the revisions the Planning Commission made to the Subdivision Bylaws.

MAY 13 — CORINTH COFFEEHOUSE – LIVE MUSIC – FINAL EVENT OF THE SEASON!  Join us for live music & refreshments. Tonight’s performance is by Meadow  Brothers. 7PM, Corinth Town Hall in downtown Cookeville. Suggested donation: $5-$10 per person; all proceeds to benefit one of our outstanding local organizations.
